It’s one thing to sit in a classroom studying financial planning, but what if undergraduates had the chance to spend three days networking with thousands of registered investment advisors while also learning from some of the financial services industry’s leading thinkers?

Olivet College students Maia Greer and David Bonkowski were two of 50 financial planning students from 25 colleges and universities who attended the TD Ameritrade Institutional annual investment advisor conference, National LINC 2017, recently in San Diego, California, along with more than... The college partnered with experienced professionals that specialize in business coaching and professional development, to design a program catered specifically to Olivet students. The... Read more

Today, Olivet College held the inaugural Cultivating Women Leaders event, Embracing Our Inner Strength, with the purpose to inspire and equip young women to grow into responsible leaders. The event comes as part of the Presidential Women’s Leadership Initiative, chaired by Presidential Spouse Traci Corey.

“I believe the best way to create a better future for our young women is to present them with meaningful opportunities to learn and grow in a way that encourages them to self-advocate,” said Corey. To see positive change, Corey knows that the issues women face must... Read more

Cassidy Hath had three requirements on her college wish list: a psychology program, a cheer team and a small campus with moderate class sizes to allow for easy access to individualized attention. Olivet College fit the bill. A full-tuition scholarship? That was just the cherry on top.

Cassidy, a senior at Jonesville High School, applied to Olivet College while exploring her college options. At the time, Olivet ranked middle of the pack on her list of possibilities. As Cassidy and her friends dove deeper into their college explorations, it became apparent that Olivet had everything... Read more

At Olivet College, we believe that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for everyone so success must be defined per the individual student. The Olivet faculty and staff provide the individualized attention that ensures each and every student achieves their goals in their own way, always with a helpful, little push whenever it is needed.

Senior Ryan Anderson didn’t need a push; he needed to kick in the right direction, which he did.

As the starting punter for Olivet College’s football team, Ryan has earned numerous awards for his performance, including back-to-back... Read more

Olivet College is home to 11 Greek societies, some of which are among Olivet’s oldest clubs and organizations. Each has its own rich history, mission and goals, but, the societies as a whole also share many traditions together. While the custom of pledging is standard to Greek organizations across the nation, Olivet College has one unique custom that you won’t find anywhere else: Running Night.

Some believe the event dates back to the 1920s; however, early documents show Running Night as a solid tradition by the 1950s. While it has evolved over the years, Running Night is... Read more

Most high school students wouldn’t raise their hands and answer “insurance” when asked what industry do they want to work. But maybe they should. An insurance career is not only challenging and rewarding, it’s also in-demand and offers higher than average wages. High school students have started to recognize the opportunity. Charlotte High School (CHS) students will now be able to take that first step toward a career in the growing insurance industry by taking an insurance course while earning free college credits, thanks to a new partnership between Olivet College and Charlotte Public...
