Music Minor Core Courses
- MUS 111 Music Theory I
- MUS 112 Music Theory II
- MUS 113 Aural Skills I
- MUS 114 Aural Skills II
- MUS 141 Class Piano I (may be waived by passing Piano Proficiency)
- MUS 142 Class Piano II (may be waived by passing Piano Proficiency)
- MUS 231 Introductions to Music and Computers
Complete two courses from the following:
- MUS 221 Comprehensive Music History I
- MUS 222 Comprehensive Music History II
- MUS 321 Comprehensive Music History III
- MUS 322 Comprehensive Music History IV
Complete at least 4 semester hours of the following:
- MUS 118-418 Private Music Lessons
Complete at least four of the following (may be repeated to meet the requirements):
- MUS 150-450 Choir (Vocalists)
- MUS 160-460 Wind Ensemble (Instrumentalists)
NOTES:
- Your major ensemble and primary performing instrument/voice will be determined by consensus of the music faculty. The four semester hours of ensemble and four semester hours of private lessons must take place with these agreed-upon choices.
- You must successfully complete a piano proficiency examination before the minor will be awarded.
